The Northern Kentucky University Cheerleaders are an integral part of the Department of Athletics, the University, and the Northern Kentucky community. The cheerleaders pride themselves in their goals to promote spirit and support for NKU, and to encourage positive crowd participation at all men’s and women’s home basketball games. Additionally, the cheerleaders are involved with many activities on campus and in the community. The cheerleaders compete annually at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Collegiate Cheerleading Competition and were Small Coed Division II National Champions in 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010.

“Victor the Viking" is the NKU Official Mascot and is also part of the spirit program. Victor became an instant fan favorite when he was first introduced in 2005. Victor poses for hundreds of pictures and signs hundreds of autographs at games and community appearances each year.

The Northern Kentucky University Cheerleaders are building the spirit at NKU!!!  Come be a part of it!!!

TO ALL NEW ATHLETES TRYING OUT:

YOU MUST HAVE ALL FORMS (located on the try out link) INCLUDING PROOF OF INSURANCE (copy of your card: front and back)  TO THE OPEN GYM ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18TH AT 9PM AT REGENTS ON NKU CAMPUS. THIS IS TO OBTAIN ELIGIBILITY FOR TRY OUTS.

Please bring a small head shot (picture) to try outs

Try out dates for the 2012-2013 season:

Friday, April 20th at 6:30pm-9pm at Regents on NKU campus

Saturday, April 21st at 10am-4pm at Regents on NKU campus

Sunday, April 22nd at 12:45am-5pm at Premier Athletics (1610 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, Ky 41011)
